The Porsche Carrera GT was one of the fastest production cars of the time and that is mainly due to the impressive powertrain it came with. The 5.7-liter M80 naturally aspirated V10 engine is longitudinally mounted to the middle and manages to give out an output of 605 hp and 435 lb-ft of torque.
With a curb weight of just over 3,000 lbs, the Porsche Carrera GT could do the 0-60 mph run in 3.9 seconds. The quarter-mile run takes 11.3 seconds as well. This engine came mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and the power goes through the rear wheels only.
